Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Railway Equipment

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and be responsible for maintaining and repairing railway equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a crucial member of our team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our railway equipment. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on railway equipment such as locomotives, railcars, and other related equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify and troubleshoot any issues.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Replace and repair faulty parts using hand and power tools.
• Conduct safety checks and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Be available for on-call rotation to respond to emergency maintenance requests.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or certification in mechanics, electrical, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of railway equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
• Must be available for on-call rotation and possible overtime.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Working Conditions: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be working in a variety of environments, including outdoor and indoor settings. You may be required to work in varying weather conditions and at different times of the day. You may also be required to work in confined spaces and at heights. This position may require some travel to different work sites.

Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. You must also be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
