Position: Legal Counsel

Location: Rijeka, Croatia

Overview: Legal Insights Corp is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join our exceptional legal team. As Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in advising and guiding our company on various legal matters. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the law and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to various departments within the company, including but not limited to, sales, marketing, human resources, and finance.
• Review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide recommendations on legal issues that may arise.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Work closely with external counsel to manage litigation and other legal matters.
• Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright protection.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide guidance and recommendations as needed.
• Train and educate team members on legal issues and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and licensed to practice law in the state of CA.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
• Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and review.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Proven ability to provide proactive and strategic legal advice.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm is preferred.
