Job Title: Civic Engagement Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civic Engagement Coordinator to join our team. As the Civic Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage and empower our community members to get involved in civic activities. Your main goal will be to drive civic participation and promote social responsibility within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to increase civic engagement and participation within our community.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and prioritize civic initiatives and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to promote civic engagement.
• Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and campaigns to educate and engage community members on civic issues.
• Create and distribute marketing materials, including social media posts, newsletters, and flyers, to promote civic engagement initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of civic engagement initiatives and provide regular reports to management.
• Identify and pursue potential funding opportunities to support civic engagement efforts.
• Serve as a liaison between our organization and external partners to foster collaboration and promote civic engagement opportunities.
• Stay up-to-date on current events, policies, and legislation that may impact our community and develop strategies to address them.
• Collaborate with the communications team to develop messaging and content for civic engagement campaigns.
• Train and manage a team of volunteers to support civic engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civic engagement, community organizing, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in developing and executing successful civic engagement strategies.
• Strong understanding of community and political dynamics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
• Experience in grant writing and fundraising is a plus.
• Passion for social justice and promoting community involvement.
