We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Grid Technician to join our team. As a Power Grid Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting power grid systems in order to ensure reliable and uninterrupted delivery of electricity to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on power grid systems, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with power grid systems, using various tools and techniques such as voltage testers, infrared cameras, and computer programs.
• Repair and replace damaged or faulty components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
• Conduct regular inspections of power grid systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Install and connect new electrical equipment to the power grid, including transformers, capacitors, and voltage regulators.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation projects.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs, work orders, and safety reports.
• Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in technology to ensure efficient and effective operation of power grid systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in electrical technology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with power grid systems, preferably in a utility or energy company.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of power grid equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
