Position: Policy Advocacy Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Policy Advocacy Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Policy Advocacy Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to influence policies and regulations that impact our organization's mission and goals. This is a high-impact role that requires a strong understanding of policy development and advocacy, as well as excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policy advocacy strategies to advance our organization's mission and goals.
• Monitor policy and regulatory developments at local, state, and federal levels and assess potential impacts on our organization.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community organizations.
• Represent our organization in meetings, hearings, and other forums to advocate for our policy positions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policy recommendations and position statements.
• Develop and disseminate advocacy materials, including policy briefs, talking points, and fact sheets.
• Engage and mobilize community members and organizations to support policy advocacy efforts.
• Track and report on policy advocacy outcomes and impact.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in policy advocacy and incorporate them into our strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in public policy, political science, law, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in policy development and advocacy, preferably in a nonprofit or government setting.
• Strong understanding of policy and regulatory processes and experience navigating them.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Experience developing and implementing advocacy campaigns.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically to achieve policy goals.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
