Job Title: Fishing Operations Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fishing Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fishing business, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fishing industry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule all fishing trips, ensuring that they are planned and executed in a timely and efficient manner
• Manage a team of fishing guides and crew members, providing them with direction and support to ensure high-quality service delivery
• Monitor weather conditions and make decisions regarding trip cancellations or route changes when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of all fishing activities, including trip logs, catch data, and customer feedback
• Work closely with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones
• Ensure that all equipment and vessels are in good working condition, arranging for repairs and maintenance as needed
• Oversee the purchasing of supplies and equipment, negotiating with vendors to secure the best prices and quality
• Train new employees and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for existing staff
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all customers and staff members
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, making recommendations for improvements to our operations as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marine Science, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the fishing industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of fishing techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, staff, and vendors
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various fishing locations
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies, and work in outdoor and adverse weather conditions
