Responsibilities:

Lead a team of production workers in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
Ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards throughout the production process
Monitor production schedule and adjust as needed to meet customer demands
Train and mentor new team members on proper production procedures and equipment operation
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient production flow
Conduct regular inspections of production equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
Oversee inventory management, including ordering and receiving of ingredients and supplies
Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or discrepancies to management
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Assist in the development and implementation of new product lines and production methods
Communicate with management to provide updates on production status and any potential issues

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in food science or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in food production, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards, as well as HACCP principles
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office and production software programs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
