Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement event plans and strategies that incorporate sustainable practices, such as reducing waste, using eco-friendly materials, and promoting public transportation options.
• Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and timeline management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that event objectives and messaging are aligned with our brand and sustainability goals.
• Source and negotiate contracts with eco-friendly vendors and suppliers.
• Manage event registration and attendee communication, including providing information on sustainable transportation options and event sustainability efforts.
• Create and manage event budgets, closely tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Work with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and partnerships.
• Measure and report on the success of events, including attendee satisfaction, cost savings, and environmental impact.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in sustainability and event planning to continuously improve our events and practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in event planning, sustainability, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, with a focus on sustainability.
• Knowledge of sustainable event practices and green certifications (LEED, ISO 20121, etc.).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Proficiency in budget management, negotiation, and vendor management.
• Passion for sustainability and a desire to create positive change through events.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
