Title: Principal Data Architect

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As the Principal Data Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of our organization's data architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data solutions that support our business objectives and drive innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, architecture design, and data modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the organization's data architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions that support decision-making and drive business growth.
• Design, develop, and implement complex data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Lead the design and implementation of data models, data dictionaries, and data standards.
• Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data architecture and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance our data capabilities.
• Mentor and coach junior data architects and provide technical guidance and support when needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture and data management with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.
• Strong experience with data architecture frameworks, data management principles, and data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Data Professional (CDP) is a plus.
