Key Responsibilities:

Present daily news stories in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
Conduct live interviews with guests and experts on various topics
Generate and pitch ideas for news stories and segments
Research and fact-check information before presenting it on air
Collaborate with producers, reporters, and other team members to develop compelling news content
Stay updated on current events and news trends to provide insightful commentary
Adhere to journalistic standards and ethics in all aspects of news reporting
Maintain a professional and unbiased demeanor while on air
Build and maintain relationships with sources and the community to gather relevant news stories
Participate in news meetings and contribute ideas for improving show content and format
Represent the news station at public events and functions as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a News Anchor or Reporter
Proven experience in live news reporting and presenting
Excellent on-camera presence and public speaking skills
Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
In-depth knowledge of current events, politics, and social issues
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with news production software and equipment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a team
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
