Position: Character Animator

Overview: We are searching for a talented and experienced Character Animator to join our creative team. As a Character Animator, you will be responsible for bringing our characters to life through movement and emotion. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of animation principles and techniques, as well as a passion for storytelling and character development. This is a full-time position, based in our Matagalpa, Nicaragua office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Art Director and Animation Lead to develop and execute animation styles that bring our characters to life
• Create high-quality, believable animations for a variety of characters, including humans, animals, and creatures
• Develop character rigs and ensure they are optimized for animation
• Animate facial expressions and lip-syncing to convey emotions and dialogue
• Work closely with the design team to ensure animations align with the overall vision of the project
• Collaborate with other animators and artists to maintain consistency across all animations
• Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality animations within the given timeframe

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Character Animator in a gaming or animation studio
• Strong knowledge of animation principles and techniques, including timing, weight, and anticipation
• Expertise in 2D and 3D animation software, such as Maya, 3ds Max, and After Effects
• Experience with motion capture technology is a plus
• Strong understanding of rigging and character modeling
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to take direction and provide creative solutions
• Passion for storytelling and character development
• Strong portfolio showcasing your animation skills
