Position: Sustainability Consultant

Overview: As a Sustainability Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping companies and organizations achieve sustainability goals and implement environmentally-friendly practices. You will use your expertise in sustainability to advise clients on strategies and solutions that will reduce their environmental impact, improve social responsibility, and enhance their overall sustainability performance. This position requires a strong understanding of sustainability principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sustainability assessments, audits, and analyses to identify areas for improvement and develop sustainability action plans.
• Advise clients on best practices for sustainable business operations, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement sustainability initiatives and programs.
• Provide guidance on sustainability reporting and assist in creating sustainability reports that accurately reflect the organization's environmental, social, and economic impacts.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in sustainability.
• Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to stay informed on sustainability regulations and policies.
• Develop and deliver sustainability training and presentations to clients and employees.
• Act as a sustainability subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to clients on sustainability-related matters.
• Communicate the benefits of sustainability to clients and help build a business case for implementing sustainable practices.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities for clients related to sustainability and provide recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
• Represent the company at sustainability conferences, events, and workshops.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in sustainability, preferably in a consulting role.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives and programs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, and SASB.
• Knowledge of sustainability software and tools is an asset.
• Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment.
