Job Title: Data Storage Operations Manager

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Storage Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data storage technologies and a proven track record in managing complex storage operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our data storage systems, ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for the efficient and effective management of data storage systems.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data storage hardware and software.
• Monitor storage systems performance and identify and resolve any potential issues or bottlenecks.
• Manage data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Work closely with other teams to understand their data storage needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain storage capacity planning models to ensure adequate storage resources are available.
• Establish and maintain data storage security protocols to protect against unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new storage technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of storage systems, processes, and procedures.
• Manage a team of storage administrators and provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing data storage operations.
• Strong knowledge of data storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.
• Experience with storage virtualization and data deduplication.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery processes and tools.
• Proven experience in managing storage capacity planning.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is preferred.
