Worship Leader

The Worship Leader will work closely with the pastor and other team members in a collaborative and supportive environment. This position may require weekend and evening hours for rehearsals and worship services. The candidate must be able to stand for extended periods, lift and move equipment, and perform other physical tasks associated with leading worship.

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Worship Leader to join our team. The Worship Leader will be responsible for creating and leading dynamic worship experiences that engage and connect our congregation with God. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of worship and the ability to lead and inspire others through music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and lead worship services that align with the vision and mission of FaithCommunity Center
• Select and prepare appropriate music for each service, including hymns, contemporary songs, and original compositions
• Recruit, train, and lead a team of musicians and vocalists for worship services and special events
• Create and maintain a positive and uplifting atmosphere during worship services
• Collaborate with the pastor and other team members in planning and executing worship services and events
• Coordinate and lead rehearsals for worship team members
• Cultivate a culture of worship within the congregation, encouraging active participation and engagement
• Continuously seek new ways to enhance the worship experience and engage the congregation
• Foster a sense of community and spiritual growth within the worship team
• Serve as a role model for worship team members, leading by example in areas such as attitude, commitment, and spiritual maturity
• Stay current with music trends and incorporate new songs and styles into worship services
• Maintain and manage all worship equipment and instruments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music, Worship, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a worship leader
• Proficient in playing and teaching multiple instruments, including piano, guitar, and drums
• Strong vocal ability and experience leading worship vocals
• Ability to lead and work with a team, including volunteers of all ages and skill levels
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to create and lead dynamic and engaging worship experiences
• Strong knowledge of a variety of worship music styles, including contemporary and traditional
• Ability to read music and arrange songs
• Proficient in using technology for worship, such as audio and visual equipment
• Deep understanding of worship and its role in spiritual growth and connection with God
