Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain databases for our company's various systems and applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather database requirements and ensure that they align with business needs.
Develop data models and database structures to support our business operations.
Continuously monitor and improve database performance, availability, and security.
Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, diagrams, and procedures.
Stay updated on the latest database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their implementation.
Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
Train and support users on database systems and tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Database Designer or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
Proficient in SQL and database programming languages.
Experience with database performance optimization and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of database security best practices.
Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
