Key Responsibilities:

Conducting environmental assessments, surveys, and investigations to identify potential hazards and risks
Developing and implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact and comply with regulations
Collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and making recommendations for improvements
Collaborating with other departments to ensure environmental regulations are integrated into company policies and procedures
Designing and overseeing the installation of pollution control systems
Managing and monitoring waste disposal and recycling programs
Conducting environmental audits and providing guidance on best practices for environmental management
Staying up-to-date with environmental laws and regulations and ensuring compliance
Identifying and implementing sustainable solutions to reduce the company's carbon footprint
Liaising with government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to address environmental concerns
Leading and training a team of environmental technicians and specialists

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering or a similar role
In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, laws, and policies
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in environmental assessment and modeling software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and ability to identify and solve problems
Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred
