Job Title: Food Production Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Food Production Manager to oversee our food production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, with a proven track record of managing a team and ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes. This is a senior-level position that requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans and strategies to meet company objectives
• Manage and lead a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Monitor and maintain production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, as well as all relevant regulations
• Implement and maintain production protocols, standard operating procedures, and safety procedures
• Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure alignment of production with company goals
• Develop and manage production budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, implementing new technologies and processes to improve production

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food production, with at least 3 years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards, as well as regulations and compliance requirements
• Proven experience in developing and implementing production plans and strategies
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles is a plus
