Position: Delivery Driver

Location: Kaolack, Senegal

About the Company: Swift Ship is a fast-growing company in the Couriers & Messengers with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality products. We are looking for a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team and help us deliver our products to our valued customers.

Job Summary: As a Delivery Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our products to our customers. You will be responsible for driving a delivery vehicle, loading and unloading products, and maintaining a clean and organized delivery vehicle. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport products to customers
• Load and unload products onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring that they are secure and undamaged
• Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatch team
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
• Collect payments from customers and ensure proper documentation is completed
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, payments, and any incidents or delays
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle at all times
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Previous experience in delivery driving or a similar role preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items
• Familiarity with GPS devices and route mapping software
• Basic math skills for collecting payments and maintaining accurate records
• Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings as needed

Working Conditions:

• This is a Full-time position with a typical schedule of per week
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions
• Must be able to lift and move heavy items on a regular basis
• May require occasional overtime and weekend work
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
