Position: Data Science Vice President
Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Science Vice President. As the Data Science VP, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of our data science strategy, leading a team of data scientists and analysts, and providing key insights to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the data science strategy to support the company's overall business objectives
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data science projects that will have the greatest impact on the business
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques and tools to extract insights and trends from large datasets
- Communicate complex data findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science, and continually evaluate and implement new tools and techniques to drive innovation and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data science strategies
- Strong understanding of data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques
- Proficient in programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
- Experience with big data tools and platforms, such as Hadoop and Spark
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
