Position Overview: As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality and reliability of our transportation equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet industry standards and customer requirements. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of transportation equipment during various stages of production to identify any defects or issues.
• Utilize various tools and techniques to perform quality checks and tests on equipment, including visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests.
• Record and analyze data from quality control tests to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to the production team and work together to find solutions.
• Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Train and mentor other team members in quality control processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments, including engineering and design, to identify opportunities for product improvement and implement changes as needed.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality issues identified.
• Monitor and maintain equipment calibration and perform regular maintenance to ensure accurate testing and results.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in quality control to continuously improve processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality control, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the transportation equipment manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to transportation equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and document defects and issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using various quality control tools and software.
• Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies is a plus.
