Job Title: Shipbuilding Production Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipbuilding Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Shipbuilding Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process of shipbuilding projects, ensuring timely completion and delivery of high-quality vessels. You will work closely with a team of shipbuilders, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all aspects of the production process are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of shipbuilders, ensuring that all production activities are carried out in accordance with safety, quality, and production standards.
• Oversee the production schedule and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Monitor and track progress of shipbuilding projects, identifying and addressing any potential delays or issues.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop and implement production plans and strategies.
• Train and mentor new shipbuilding team members, ensuring their adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports, including labor and material costs, production rates, and project progress.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on project progress, issues, and any necessary adjustments to the production plan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in shipbuilding, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a shipbuilding production role, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes, materials, and equipment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with project management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards and regulations in the shipbuilding industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
