Position: Geologist

Location: Siteki, Eswatini

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Geologist to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Geologist, you will play a critical role in our company's success by conducting research, analyzing geological data, and providing insights that will inform decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for exploration and discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fieldwork to collect and analyze geological data, including rock and soil samples, using various techniques such as drilling, excavating, and mapping.
• Utilize state-of-the-art technologies and tools to gather, process, and interpret geologic data.
• Develop geological models and maps that accurately depict the subsurface structure and composition of the earth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the feasibility and potential risks associated with various projects, such as mining, construction, and environmental remediation.
• Conduct site investigations and surveys to identify potential hazards and mitigate potential risks.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other technical documents to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements in technology, and regulatory changes that may impact our operations.
• Foster relationships with clients, suppliers, and other industry professionals to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a geology-related role.
• Strong understanding of geological principles, theories, and techniques.
• Proficiency in using geological software and tools such as GIS, CAD, and GPS.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations, as needed.
