Position: Sports Research Analyst

Job Type: Part-time

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Salary: USD: $30,000 - $50,000 annually

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and analytical Sports Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Sports Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on various sports teams, players, and trends. This role requires a strong understanding of the sports industry, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis on sports teams, players, and trends
• Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources, including game statistics, player performances, and industry reports
• Develop and maintain databases to organize and track data
• Identify patterns and trends in data to provide insights and recommendations
• Create reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive analysis and insights
• Stay up-to-date with industry news and trends to inform research projects
• Attend sporting events and conduct on-site research as needed
• Utilize statistical software and techniques to analyze large data sets
• Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders
• Continuously evaluate and improve research methods and processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, sports science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in sports research, data analysis, or a similar role
• Strong understanding of the sports industry and current trends
• Proficient in statistical software (e.g. R, SAS, SPSS) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large data sets
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to attend sporting events and conduct on-site research
• Passion for sports and a desire to continuously learn and improve
