About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to join our team. As the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage volunteers, build relationships with community partners, and support our organization's mission. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer engagement plan to attract, retain, and recognize volunteers
• Collaborate with various departments to identify volunteer needs and create volunteer opportunities that align with our organization's mission and goals
• Recruit, screen, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, such as schools, corporate groups, and organizations, to promote volunteer opportunities and increase volunteer engagement
• Plan and execute volunteer appreciation events and initiatives to recognize and thank volunteers for their contributions
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer information and hours worked
• Monitor and evaluate volunteer programs and make recommendations for improvements
• Develop and implement strategies to diversify and increase the number of volunteers, including targeted outreach to underrepresented groups
• Act as a liaison between volunteers and staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination
• Develop and manage volunteer policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in volunteer management to continuously improve our volunteer program

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in volunteer management or related field
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in event planning and volunteer recognition is preferred
• Knowledge of volunteerism trends and best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and volunteer management software
• Passion for community engagement and making a positive impact in the community
