Job Title: Director of Student Services

This includes but is not limited to academic advising, career services, student support programs, and campus resources. You will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student success and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for student services that align with the overall mission and goals of the institution.
• Lead and manage a team of student services professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive campus culture that supports the academic, personal, and professional growth of students.
• Serve as a liaison between student services and other departments, promoting collaboration and communication to enhance the student experience.
• Provide guidance and support to students, assisting them in navigating academic and personal challenges and connecting them with appropriate resources.
• Oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that support student success and retention.
• Monitor and analyze data related to student services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance student satisfaction and retention.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in student services, incorporating them into the department's strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in student services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of student development and success theories and practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in budget management and data analysis.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to student services in higher education.
