About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a GCP Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. You will work closely with our development and DevOps teams to ensure the smooth operations of our GCP environment and help drive continuous improvement through automation and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the GCP infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Implement and maintain best practices for security, availability, performance, and cost optimization on GCP.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to design and implement highly available and scalable solutions on GCP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or incidents related to the GCP environment.
• Continuously review and improve operational processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective management of GCP resources.
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to any critical incidents in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest GCP services, features, and best practices to optimize our GCP environment.
• Manage and maintain backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for GCP services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and maintaining GCP infrastructure.
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Networking.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and experience with tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with VPN, DNS, and load balancing.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications in Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
