Job Summary: As the Construction Materials Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects. You will be responsible for managing the supply chain and procurement of materials needed for our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the procurement process and manage inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with project managers to understand construction project requirements and determine material needs.
• Source and procure materials from various suppliers while negotiating prices to meet budgetary requirements.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Monitor market trends and prices to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
• Oversee the quality control of materials and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Manage the logistics of material delivery and storage on construction sites.
• Create and maintain reports on materials usage, inventory levels, and cost savings.
• Stay updated with industry standards and regulations related to construction materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction materials, their uses, and market trends.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in using inventory management software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
