Position: Political Organizer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Political Organizer to join our team. As a Political Organizer, your main responsibility will be to mobilize and engage communities in support of local and national political campaigns. You will work closely with our team of organizers to develop and implement effective strategies for grassroots organizing and coalition building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for grassroots organizing and coalition building in support of political campaigns.
• Identify and engage community members, activists, and organizations to build a strong network of supporters.
• Organize and facilitate events, rallies, and other activities to raise awareness and mobilize communities.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to assist with organizing efforts.
• Collaborate with other organizers and team members to coordinate and execute campaign strategies.
• Utilize social media and other digital platforms to reach and engage a wider audience.
• Conduct outreach and build relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, elected officials, and media outlets.
• Monitor and analyze political trends and developments to inform organizing strategies.
• Represent the organization at community events and meetings to build partnerships and promote our mission.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grassroots organizing, community outreach, or political campaigns.
• Strong understanding of political systems and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for social justice and political advocacy.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
