Position: Transport Operator

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and responsible Transport Operator to join our growing team. As a Transport Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, in a safe and efficient manner
• Load and unload goods and materials onto vehicles, ensuring proper securement
• Plan and organize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
• Monitor traffic and weather conditions to adjust routes as needed
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries made
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
• Assist with loading and unloading heavy or oversized items as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles
• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to navigate using GPS and read maps
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Physical ability to load and unload goods, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and overtime as needed
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance
