Job Title: Curriculum Development Specialist

Position Summary: As a Curriculum Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing educational materials and programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to design, develop, and evaluate curriculum content for various learning environments, such as in-person, online, or blended. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our curriculum, as well as staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and needs assessments to identify learning gaps and determine the appropriate content and delivery methods for curriculum development.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and review information, materials, and resources for curriculum development.
• Design and develop curriculum content, including learning objectives, lesson plans, activities, assessments, and instructor resources.
• Utilize instructional design principles and strategies to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Implement learning design best practices and standards, such as ADDIE and Bloom's Taxonomy.
• Evaluate and revise curriculum content based on feedback and assessment results to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with learning objectives.
• Create and maintain documentation and records of curriculum development processes and materials.
• Stay updated with current trends and advancements in education and incorporate them into curriculum development.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, graphic designers, and media specialists to create multimedia and interactive learning materials.
• Train and support instructors on curriculum content, delivery methods, and use of instructional technology.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in curriculum development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, theories, and practices.
• Experience with various curriculum development tools and software, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, or learning management systems (LMS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices.
• Experience in developing curriculum for different learning environments, such as in-person, online, or blended.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in education.
• Passion for continuous learning and keeping up with industry trends and advancements.
