Key Responsibilities:

Operate trains and coordinate with other train crew members to ensure safe and timely transportation of passengers and freight.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment and perform required maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of trains.
Monitor train movements and communicate with dispatchers to receive instructions and updates on track conditions and any potential hazards.
Manage train speed and braking to ensure safe operation and reduce wear and tear on equipment.
Ensure compliance with all industry and safety regulations, including federal, state, and company policies.
Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including assisting with boarding, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or issues.
Maintain accurate records of train movements, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during trips.
Train and mentor new conductors to ensure they are knowledgeable and competent in their roles.
Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and dispatch, to resolve any issues and improve operations.
Stay updated on industry developments, safety regulations, and company policies to continually improve performance.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Train Conductor.
Strong knowledge of train operations and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physically fit and able to climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
