Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all databases within the organization.
Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security and integrity of our data.
Monitor database performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize database performance to ensure maximum efficiency.
Lead and manage the Database Administration team, providing guidance, support, and training to team members.
Collaborate with other teams to understand their database needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability in case of system failures or disasters.
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for database improvements and upgrades.
Develop and maintain documentation for all database systems, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and system specifications.
Troubleshoot database issues and work with vendors to resolve technical problems.
Develop and maintain database disaster recovery plans and perform regular testing to ensure their effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Database Administrator.
Proven experience in managing and leading a team of Database Administrators.
Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
Experience with database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
Familiarity with database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
