Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for students who need academic assistance or support.
Develop and implement strategies to promote student success and retention.
Provide one-on-one academic advising and coaching to students, addressing their unique needs and challenges.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other campus resources to create a holistic support system for students.
Monitor students’ academic progress and intervene when necessary to ensure they stay on track to graduate.
Plan and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other events to enhance students’ academic skills and knowledge.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and progress.
Coordinate academic support services such as tutoring, study groups, and academic coaching.
Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and resources to provide additional support to students.
Participate in committees and task forces related to student success initiatives.
Stay current with trends and best practices in student success and retention.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or a similar role in higher education.
Strong understanding of student development theory and its application in a university setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven ability to develop and implement successful programs and initiatives.
Experience working with diverse student populations.
Knowledge of student information systems and databases.
Passion for helping students succeed and a commitment to providing high-quality support services.
