Position: Translation Project Manager

Job Overview: As a Translation Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing translation projects and ensuring their successful completion within the given timelines and budget. You will be working closely with a team of translators, editors, and other project stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accurate, and culturally appropriate translations are delivered to clients. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire translation project lifecycle, from receiving the project brief to delivering the final translated product to the client.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets and ensure they are adhered to throughout the project.
• Assign tasks to translators and editors, and closely monitor their progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate regularly with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on project progress.
• Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the project, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Conduct quality checks on completed translations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Build and maintain relationships with translators, editors, and other project stakeholders to ensure a strong network of resources for future projects.
• Continuously improve project management processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency and quality of work.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies related to translation and localization.
• Mentor and train new team members, providing them with guidance and support to ensure their success.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a translation or localization environment.
• Proven experience in managing multiple translation projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one other language.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Knowledge of translation and localization processes and terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
