Position Title: Public Policy Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Policy Analyst to join our team. As a Public Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and developing policies that address important societal issues. Your work will have a direct impact on shaping public policies and influencing decision-making at all levels of government.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis on current policies, laws, and regulations related to social, economic, and environmental issues.
• Monitor political and legislative developments and their potential impact on policy issues.
• Identify and evaluate potential policy solutions and provide recommendations to address societal challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including government officials, community leaders, and advocacy groups to gather data and gain insights on various policy issues.
• Develop and present reports, briefings, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders to communicate policy proposals and recommendations.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in public policy and contribute to the development of new policies and strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote understanding and support for proposed policies.
• Participate in public hearings, forums, and other events to present findings and gather feedback on proposed policies.
• Monitor the implementation and impact of policies and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public policy analysis, research, or advocacy.
• Strong understanding of policy development processes and government structures at local, state, and federal levels.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders through written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, and SPSS.
