Rental Agent

This position will primarily work in an office setting, with occasional travel to properties for showings and inspections. The Rental Agent will work a standard 40-hour work week, with occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate property showings.

Job Title: Rental Agent

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Rental Agent to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the rental process for our properties, from marketing and advertising vacancies to showing properties and finalizing lease agreements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a strong understanding of the rental market and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advertise and market rental properties to attract potential tenants
• Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants and schedule property showings
• Conduct thorough background and credit checks on potential tenants
• Negotiate lease terms and rental rates with potential tenants
• Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with state and local laws
• Collect and deposit rent payments and security deposits
• Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections with tenants
• Resolve tenant complaints and handle maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of rental transactions and tenant information
• Stay up-to-date on rental market trends and adjust rental rates accordingly
• Collaborate with property owners to ensure properties are well-maintained and in compliance with regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or real estate
• Knowledge of state and local rental laws and regulations
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software
