Title: Machine Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: As a Machine Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical or electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and ordering replacement parts as needed. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Document all maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements, in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures when working on equipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Communicate effectively with production personnel to understand and address any equipment issues that may impact production.
• Stay updated on new equipment and maintenance techniques through training and self-study.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, standing, and bending for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
