Position: Philanthropy Officer

Location: Gold Coast, Australia

Salary: Based on experience

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Philanthropy Officer to join our team. As a Philanthropy Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's fundraising efforts. You will work closely with our donors and stakeholders to build relationships and secure donations to further our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic philanthropy plan to increase donations and support for our organization's mission and programs
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential major donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential donors that effectively communicate the impact and importance of our organization's work
• Manage a portfolio of donors and regularly engage with them to build and strengthen relationships
• Collaborate with our marketing and communications team to create engaging fundraising materials and campaigns
• Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns to reach new donors and increase donations
• Research and identify new funding opportunities and potential donors
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and track progress towards fundraising goals
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of fundraising efforts with organizational goals and initiatives
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in philanthropy and fundraising to inform and improve strategies and techniques

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, sales, or business development
• Proven track record of successfully securing major gifts and donations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong presentation and proposal writing skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising databases
• Passion for our organization's mission and values
