Job Title: Academic Advisor

Position Overview: As an Academic Advisor, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting students throughout their academic journey. You will be responsible for providing academic advice, creating academic plans, and ensuring students have the necessary resources to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with students to discuss their academic progress and provide guidance on course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies
• Assist students in creating personalized academic plans that align with their career goals and interests
• Monitor student progress and identify any potential issues or challenges that may affect their academic success
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure students have access to the necessary resources, such as tutoring or academic support services
• Stay up-to-date on curriculum changes, program requirements, and academic policies to accurately advise students
• Connect students with internship, research, and study abroad opportunities to enhance their academic experience
• Serve as a liaison between students and various departments, including admissions, financial aid, and career services
• Support students in developing time management and study skills to improve their academic performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or related field
• Knowledge of higher education policies, regulations, and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
