Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Preparedness Manager to join our team. As the Emergency Preparedness Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing emergency preparedness plans and procedures to ensure the safety and security of our organization. This role will require a strong leader who can effectively coordinate and communicate with various departments, stakeholders, and external agencies in times of crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency preparedness plans and procedures to ensure a swift and effective response to potential emergencies, disasters, or crises.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities within the organization's infrastructure, operations, and personnel.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to establish emergency protocols, train staff, and conduct drills to test emergency preparedness plans.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local emergency response teams, government agencies, and community organizations to coordinate response efforts and obtain necessary resources.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all emergency situations and provide guidance and support to all staff during an emergency.
• Develop and deliver emergency preparedness training programs to educate employees on how to respond to various types of emergencies.
• Conduct post-incident evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Stay informed on emerging emergency preparedness trends, best practices, and regulations, and make recommendations for updates and improvements to existing plans and procedures.
• Manage the organization's emergency response budget and ensure all resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency management, preferably in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of emergency response protocols, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and maintain composure during high-stress situations.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and external agencies.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response situations.
