Title: Veterinary Technician

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing quality medical care for our animal patients. You will work closely with our veterinarians and other team members to ensure the well-being of our patients and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care for animal patients, including routine exams, surgeries, and emergency treatments
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, heart rate, and respiration
• Prepare and maintain medical records for each patient
• Educate clients on proper animal care and answer any questions or concerns
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sterilizing equipment and instruments
• Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic procedures
• Administer anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
• Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals and their owners during appointments and procedures

Qualifications:

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
• Proficient in administering medications and injections
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to lift and restrain large animals
• Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care
