Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Harvesting Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As the Harvesting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the harvesting operations, ensuring the timely and efficient harvesting of crops while maintaining high quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of harvesting staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Oversee the harvesting schedule, ensuring that all crops are harvested in a timely manner according to company standards.
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and make necessary repairs or replacements.
• Ensure that all harvesting equipment is operated safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor the quality of harvested crops and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of harvesting activities, including yields, labor, and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize harvesting operations and ensure the timely delivery of crops to processing facilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and efficiency in harvesting operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and manage labor costs to stay within budget.
• Continuously assess and improve harvesting processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Provide regular reports to management on harvesting operations, including challenges, successes, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a harvesting operation.
• Strong understanding of harvesting processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
