The Role: As an Academic Advisor, you will be responsible for providing academic guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey. You will act as a mentor, advocate, and resource for students, helping them navigate through the complexities of their educational experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with students regularly to discuss their academic progress, provide guidance, and offer support.
• Develop individualized academic plans for students, taking into account their interests, strengths, and career goals.
• Assist students in selecting courses that align with their academic and career objectives.
• Help students navigate through course requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor students' progress and intervene when necessary to address any challenges they may be facing.
• Connect students with resources such as tutoring, study groups, and academic workshops to enhance their learning experience.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure students have access to necessary resources and support services.
• Stay up-to-date on academic program changes, policies, and procedures to accurately advise students.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student interactions and progress.
• Participate in recruitment events and assist with new student orientation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or a similar role within a higher education setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of academic programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Passion for helping students succeed academically and reach their full potential.
• Knowledge of career development and advising is an asset.
