Collections Manager

Position: Collections Manager

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Collections Manager to join our team. As a Collections Manager, you will be responsible for managing the collection efforts of our organization. You will lead a team of collectors to ensure timely and effective recovery of outstanding debts and delinquent accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement collection strategies to maximize revenue and minimize losses
• Monitor and track delinquent accounts to ensure timely follow-up and action
• Lead and coach a team of collectors, providing guidance and support to achieve collection targets
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collections activity and progress
• Analyze data and prepare reports on collection performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers to settle delinquent accounts
• Liaise with legal counsel and external collection agencies when necessary
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve any issues
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing collections
• Continuously assess and improve collection processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in collections, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of collection laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and collections software
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
