Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Storage Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's data storage infrastructure. You will work closely with other teams to ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our data storage systems. Your expertise in data storage technologies, along with your strong problem-solving skills, will be crucial in supporting our company's data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data storage solutions that meet the company's needs and adhere to industry best practices
• Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of our data storage systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the data storage infrastructure
• Collaborate with other teams to understand their data storage requirements and provide solutions to meet those needs
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for our data storage systems
• Conduct regular tests and audits to ensure the integrity and security of our data storage systems
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data storage technologies and make recommendations for improvements
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data storage systems and processes
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance of data storage systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data storage engineering
• Strong understanding of data storage concepts and technologies such as SAN, NAS, object storage, and cloud storage solutions
• Proficient in configuring and managing storage systems from vendors such as Dell EMC, NetApp, and Pure Storage
• Experience with data storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, and Fibre Channel
• Sound knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity principles
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
• Relevant certifications in data storage technologies are a plus
