Job Title: Orchard Production Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Orchard Production Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and maintenance of our orchard, ensuring the production of high-quality fruits. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and agriculture, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the orchard, including planting, pruning, and harvesting fruits.
• Monitor and maintain orchard irrigation systems to ensure proper water supply for optimal plant growth.
• Conduct regular inspections of trees and plants, identifying and addressing any issues or diseases.
• Assist in the application of fertilizers and pesticides, following proper safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain orchard equipment, such as tractors, sprayers, and mowers.
• Keep accurate records of production and maintenance activities.
• Help with the packaging and shipping of fruits for distribution.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in orchard production or other agricultural work is a plus.
• Knowledge of planting, pruning, and irrigation techniques is preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain orchard equipment, such as tractors and sprayers.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
