Job Title: Legislative Researcher

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legislative Researcher to join our team. As a Legislative Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on legislative proposals, laws, and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Your findings will be used to inform our clients on potential impacts of proposed legislation and support their advocacy efforts. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for staying up-to-date on current political and legislative developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research on proposed legislation and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Analyze and interpret complex legislative language and identify potential impacts on our clients.
• Monitor legislative hearings, debates, and votes to gather information and insights.
• Collaborate with our team of policymakers and lobbyists to develop effective strategies for advocating on behalf of our clients.
• Prepare written reports and briefings to communicate legislative updates and potential impacts to our clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legislative developments and actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including legislators, legislative staff, and government agencies.
• Attend and represent our organization at legislative meetings, conferences, and events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in legislative research, government affairs, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the legislative process at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legislative language.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other research tools and databases.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing legislative environment.
