Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of farming practices, strong leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable agriculture. As a Farm Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the farm, from planning and planting to harvesting and distribution. You will also be responsible for managing a team of farm workers and ensuring the farm's profitability and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the farm's operations, including crop rotation, planting schedules, and harvest plans
• Oversee all farm activities, such as planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control
• Manage a team of farm workers, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Maintain accurate records of all farm operations, including crop yields, expenses, and revenues
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all farm employees
• Monitor and maintain the quality of crops and implement measures to improve yields
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute sales and distribution plans for farm products
• Manage the farm's budget and make strategic decisions to ensure profitability
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement innovative techniques to improve the farm's efficiency and productivity
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders in the farming industry
• Conduct regular inspections of the farm and equipment to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Farm Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large-scale farming operation
• Extensive knowledge of farming practices, including crop rotation, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting techniques
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Proficient in using farm equipment and machinery
• Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills
• Knowledge of sustainable farming practices is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
