Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily care and management of farm animals, including but not limited to cattle, pigs, sheep, and poultry.
Monitor and maintain animal health and welfare, including administering vaccinations and medications as needed.
Implement and maintain proper feeding, watering, and housing systems for different animal species.
Develop and implement breeding programs to optimize production and genetic diversity.
Work closely with veterinarians and other animal health professionals to ensure the health and well-being of all farm animals.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with animal welfare and food safety standards.
Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and optimize production efficiency.
Train and supervise farm workers in proper animal handling and husbandry techniques.
Monitor and maintain farm equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for all animals and employees.
Keep accurate records of animal health, production, and expenses.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices to continuously improve farm operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in farm animal production, with a strong understanding of animal husbandry practices.
Knowledge of sustainable and ethical farming practices.
Familiarity with animal welfare and food safety standards and regulations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Experience with data analysis and record-keeping software is preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
