Job Title: AWS Big Data Engineer
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Big Data Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As an AWS Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's big data solutions on the AWS platform. This role requires a strong understanding of AWS services and big data technologies, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain big data solutions on the AWS platform
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Build and manage data pipelines for efficient data processing and storage
- Optimize and tune AWS services for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve any issues that arise
- Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Collaborate with DevOps team to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data solutions
- Stay updated with the latest AWS services and big data technologies and proactively suggest improvements to existing solutions
- Document technical designs, processes, and procedures for future reference
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing big data solutions on the AWS platform
- Strong understanding of AWS services such as S3, EMR, Redshift, and Glue
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty) are a plus
